Crime alert issued for assault near Alden Library

The Ohio University Police Department issued a crime alert after a male reported he was assaulted by two males on Thursday morning while walking on Park Place between Alden Library and Scripps Hall.
The victim said he was walking eastbound on Park Place around 3 a.m. on March 18, when he was grabbed from behind by one man and then punched by a second man.
After falling to the ground with the male who grabbed him, the victim said both attackers fled the scene on foot. The victim, who suffered minor injuries, immediately reported the incident to the Ohio University Police Department.
The crime alert describes the first suspect as a white male with short dark hair who was wearing a green Ohio University basketball shirt. The second suspect is described as a white male with short dark hair who was wearing a dark hoodie.
