Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland today announced Yvette McGee Brown as his 2010 re-election running mate. McGee Brown is an Ohio University trustee and a 1982 graduate in journalism. Currently, she is president of The Center for Child and Family Advocacy in Columbus and was previously a judge in Franklin County.
She has been honored for her community service with many awards, including the Ohio University Alumni Association's Medal of Merit, and she has been inducted into the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame. Strickland needed a new lieutenant governor because incumbent Lee Fisher will run for the U.S. Senate in 2010.
