Effective March 1, Linda Lonsinger will assume the role of associate vice president of human resources for Ohio University. She will replace Luis Lewin, who has accepted a position at Purdue University.
Lonsinger is currently senior director of human resources. She has been with the university since 1998, and served as interim associate vice president of human resources from June to November 2008.
Mike Angelini, interim vice president of finance and administration, said, "Linda is very well respected and I am pleased that she has agreed to provide leadership to our HR area.
"Her focus will be to maintain core human resource functions in this fiscally challenging time while providing service improvements based on stakeholder priorities. She and her team will also provide leadership for the university's strategic goal of improving faculty and staff compensation programs."
Lewin has been associate vice president for human resources since November 2008. "Luis has contributed greatly during his time with the university. We wish him all the best," said Angelini.
