OHIO students, faculty and staff practice service learning around the globe
Feb 8, 2010
By Andie Walla
OHIO students experience service learning at home and abroad. Putting lessons from their classrooms into action, they travel across the world to assist those in need.
Students, faculty and staff participate in SHARE Kenya or the Center for the Complete Development for Children and their Families trip to El Salvador to provide much-needed medical aid to underserved areas. Engineering students travel to Ghana with Engineers Without Borders and see their skills put to the test in real-world challenges.
The people who participate in these service learning abroad trips can come away with life-changing experiences and a greater sense of connection to the worldwide community.
