Executive Vice President and Provost Pam Benoit is urging faculty, staff and students to use a new Web site to share their ideas for cost savings and revenue generation.
The site can be accessed from the University Budget Update page and will be available until Jan. 29. Employees and students can submit ideas by filling out the suggestion forms on the site.
"Your participation is needed to help us identify ways that we can manage, wisely and well, the challenges that we face," Benoit said in a memo to the campus community.
President Roderick J. McDavis, interim senior vice president for Finance and Administration Mike Angelini and Benoit will review suggestions received via the Web site as they draft an initial set of recommendations in February to be shared with the university community (please see the Strategic Budget Process document for a full description of each stage of the process).
"Ohio University is a complex organization and it is difficult for anyone, regardless of how well informed she or he might be, to understand all of the possibilities that exist when it comes to managing our resources," Benoit said. "The Web site provides a means of gathering insights from across all campuses and constituencies."
