Turtle Island String Quartet and Ying Quartet

This performance is a groundbreaking and dynamic combination of two of the world's best-known string quartets. Blending each of their unique qualities, the Turtle Island/Ying collaboration includes a new octet by David Balakrishnan, commissioned by the Lied Center at the University of Kansas, the Porter Center at Brevard College and Moorhead State University. Introduction to Genealogy on the Web

Two-Day Seminar on Teaching Writing in the Disciplines
Mar. 7 and Mar. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.

In this seminar faculty will come together to examine what they need to know to teach writing better in their disciplinary settings. The Center for Writing Excellence's Writing Across the Curriculum and the Center for Innovations in Technology for Learning will offer this two-day seminar for faculty. Red Cross Blood Drive

The Red Cross has a goal of 100 units of blood and needs even more. The current blood supply is so short that the Red Cross is importing blood from other regions to meet their needs. In addition, bloodmobiles in the area have recently been cancelled due to the bad weather. Walk-ins are welcome and appreciated. Contact: Campus Recreation at (740) 593-9915.
