Blood Drive

The Ping Center
Sponsored by Facilities and Auxiliaries, the drive is open to all University employees and the general public. Prospective donors will be asked for their name, phone number, blood type and date of birth when scheduling appointments. To schedule appointments, prospective donors should contact the Facilities Management Customer Service Center at (740) 593-2911.

Kennedy Museum of Art
Sponsored by The Friends of the Kennedy Museum, a portion of the proceeds will go toward projects sponsored by the Friends. Good Girl Jewelry at White's Mill and Silver Sun of Albuquerque, N.M. are providing the authentic Native American jewelry. The sale features jewelry from various Native American artists and tribes including Navajo, Santo Domingo, San Felipe, Zuni and Hopi.

Kennedy Museum of Art
The exhibition features blankets bearing designs commissioned from contemporary Native American artists by the American Indian College Fund. Artists represented include Tony Abeyta, George Hunt, Jr., Arthur Amiotte, Wendy Ponca, Ben Nighthorse Campbell, Michael Gray and Kevin Red Star. Towne Center Christmas

Public Square in Nelsonville
Join this Victorian Christmas Celebration on Nelsonville's historic Public Square. Events include horse and wagon rides, activities at Stuart's Opera House (a choir concert and a rendition of a Christmas Carol), strolling carolers, a live nativity, a holiday wreath auction and artisans at work showing old time crafts. Athens Community Music School
Registration for winter quarter courses is Dec. 10 through Jan. 8. Robert Peppers, assistant professor of painting, will be exhibiting a collection drawn from his experience surrounding the burning of African American churches in 1996.
