Oak will accept only secure connections after Dec. 11. To ensure uninterrupted access to your Oak account, you may need to make a few changes to your computer's configuration before that date.
Complete instructions, plus links to free, secure e-mail, terminal and file transfer applications can be found on the Web at www.cns.ohiou.edu/hot_topics/networksecurity/ .
The software linked from the above Web site also can be found on the latest CNS Network Applications CD-ROM. The Windows version of this CD currently is being distributed via campus mail to all faculty and staff.
The Macintosh version of this free CD will be available from the Support Center starting on Dec. 2. Contact the Support Center at helpdesk@ohio.edu or (740) 593-1222 and we will send one to you via campus mail.
If you do not use the Oak system for e-mail or file storage, then you may disregard this notice. If you have any questions, please contact the Support Center.
