'Tis the season to be crafty!

The annual Holiday Employee Showcase will be held this year Dec. 3 to 6 in Trisolini Gallery. All Ohio University employees are invited to bring in their handcrafted items to sell at the Showcase. Items may be donated (entire amount going to the scholarship) or sold on consignment (75 percent to artist, 25 percent to scholarship), with all proceeds going to the endowed Employee Scholarship Fund.

For those who are better shoppers than crafters, the Showcase will be open Tuesday through Thursday, Dec. 3 to 5, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Friday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Plan to drop by and pick up some unusual and beautiful gifts and/or decorations for the holidays.

Meeting Maker to be replaced

Ohio University is in the process of replacing Meeting Maker with a new, campuswide online agenda manager called Oracle Calendar. Oracle Calendar represents a significant improvement over Meeting Maker, both in terms of features and ease of use.

To start using Oracle Calendar, links, along with information on how to place a work order for PDA synchronization software, student accounts and departmental resources, can be found at www.cns.ohio.edu/calendaring/.

The Meeting Maker server will continue to be operated on oak.cats.ohiou.edu through the end of Spring Break.

If you wish to convert your existing Meeting Maker agenda to the new Oracle Calendar format, you should do so before March 30, 2003, the date tentatively set to retire the Meeting Maker server.
