Seniority Parking request forms due Nov. 1
By Teresa Trussell
Parking Services is now accepting requests for seniority parking reassignments. Request forms were sent to all faculty/staff via campus mail. If you did not receive one or would like more information regarding seniority parking reassignments, please visit the Parking Services Web site.
Seniority parking is based on the number of consecutive years employed at Ohio University. Lots 2, 4, 6, 11, 18, 19, 20, 36, 37, 38, and 39 are designated as seniority parking lots. Seniority parking for these lots can be obtained once a year as each lot is reviewed and space available is noted.
Please keep the following information in mind when requesting seniority parking:
Eligibility Criteria--Seniority parking is issued based on years of service to Ohio University. Years of service are verified via the payroll office. Typically, seniority parking is limited to those with 25 years of service or more. Years of service no longer have to be continuous. Seniority parking is issued to those with the most years of service in the lots requested. Parking Services will make every attempt to accommodate requests for particular lots but cannot guarantee issuance in the lot(s) requested.Seniority Lot Choices--Seniority parking is issued for the following lots: Light Green (lots 18, 19, and 20), Yellow (lot 2), Orange (lots 4 & 6), and Grey (lots 36, 38, & 39). See our campus map located at www.facilities.ohiou.edu/parking for lot locations.
Current Seniority Lot Holders--It is not necessary for those who currently possess seniority parking permits to reapply or renew their current permit.
If you would like to be considered for seniority parking, please fill out the form sent to you via campus mail and return it to Parking Services (100 Factory Street--simply refold the form, staple, and place in the campus mail) no later than Nov. 1. Applications received after that time will not be considered. If you did not receive a form via campus mail, you can download the form using Acrobat Reader.
