Save a life, give blood today
An auto accident victim rushed to a level 1 trauma center in central Ohio in late January used 211 blood products within about the first 24 hours following the crash. This patient and countless others rely on the kindness of strangers for the gift of life.
While trauma victims' families and friends often step forward to donate blood when the need touches their lives, it's regular blood donors who help ensure that life-saving blood products are on the hospital's shelves at the time they are most needed.
All eligible blood donors are encouraged to help patients in need by supporting the American Red Cross blood program. O-negative donors are especially needed to ensure that local hospitals are adequately prepared to support trauma victims.
Please contact Adam Gibson at 597-9836 today to schedule an appointment to donate at the Jefferson Hall blood drive on Friday, January 30.
Together, we can save a life.
