Provost's Undergraduate Research Fund
Deadline: Feb. 1
The Provost's Undergraduate Research Fund provides up to $50,000 annually to enable students to pursue research projects. The program provides money for research-related travel, materials and supplies. A limited number of awards can support apprenticeship positions.
The awards are available to undergraduate students enrolled on the Athens campus to support original research, scholarship and creative activity.
Students must be endorsed by a tenure-track faculty member, who will serve as a mentor and oversee the research. Applications must be submitted by Feb. 1 to be considered for awards that will be announced March 1.
Forty-nine undergraduates received grants last year. Funded projects ranged from a study of human rights in Indonesia to research on southern flying squirrels to a proposal to create a student-run college sitcom.
