History presents 32nd annual Costa Lecture Oct. 15 Oct 15, 2009
The History Department is proud to present the 32nd Annual Costa Lecture at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, in Baker University Center 240-242. History professor and MacArthur Fellow Jay Rubenstein, from the University of Tennesse-Knoxville, will present "The First Crusade and the End of Time."
Rubenstein’s research looks at the 11th- and 12th-century history of England and France, with an eye to church history. In recent years, his work has centered on the First Crusade, examining how Europeans interpreted the violent events in the years after they occurred.
