The revised policy reflects that the university does not offer sick leave to Group III research employees. Linda Lonsinger, interim associate vice president for finance and administration for human resources, said this change corrects a mistake in the previous version of the policy. University policy 41.010, which outlines the eligibility requirements for the employee benefits package available to administrative contract employees, does not allow for sick time for Group III employees who work less than 11 months.  The previous version of policy 40.057 was in error to have indicated otherwise.
