Policy follows practice of providing domestic partner benefits Oct 14, 2008
An official policy establishing that Ohio University employees' domestic partners and children of domestic partners can participate in the university benefits plan, as has been the practice since 2004, has been approved.
According to Greg Fialko, director of benefits and compensation, the action puts into policy what has been in practice since former President Robert Glidden announced in June 2004 that domestic partners and their children would be eligible to receive benefits as a matter of fundamental economic fairness.
