University closed Thursday and Friday

Ohio University will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, in observance of the national Thanksgiving Day holiday. The university will reopen Monday, Dec. 1.

Those spending the holiday weekend in the Athens area may wish to take advantage of some on-campus recreational opportunities. The Thanksgiving Recreational Ice Skating event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Bird Arena. Visit the Web site or call 740-593-4676 for more information. Please note the Aquatic Center will close Wednesday and reopen on Monday.

Catch the MAC champion OHIO volleyball team at 7 p.m. Friday as players host Dayton in the team's final regular season home game at the Convocation Center.

The Kennedy Museum of Art will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, featuring the exhibits "Interiors, Exteriors and All Around: The Panoramic Photography of Thomas R. Schiff," "Art of the Zuni" and a series of black and white photographs of some of the 20th century's greatest jazz artists captured by Herman Leonard.
