The city of Athens is encouraging residents to propose questions in advance of an upcoming town hall meeting.
The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, in the Athens City Community Center on E. State Street.
Mayor Paul Wiehl and his staff will answer questions submitted by Athens residents in advance, or during the meeting if time allows.
Community members are encouraged to submit questions before the meeting by sending inquiries to Athensquestions@gmail.com or to the League of Women Voters ATTN: Athens June Town Hall Meeting PO Box 5788 Athens OH 45701. The Town Hall Planning Committee will compile the questions and submit them to the city administration before the meeting.
The deadline for submitting questions in advance is June 10.
