The benefits open enrollment period will conclude at the close of business on Friday, May 15, university officials said. All enrollment materials must be submitted to University Human Resources by 5 p.m.
During the enrollment period, employees have the opportunity to make changes to their benefit elections for medical, dental and life insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Information regarding open enrollment is available at www.ohio.edu/hr/openenrollment.cfm.
This year, the university has increased the amount of supplemental life insurance employees can purchase. Employees are now able to purchase up to $500,000 of term life insurance, and up to $20,000 for a spouse and $10,000 for a eligible child.

Each year employees have the opportunity to make changes to their benefit elections during the annual open enrollment period. Otherwise, changes may only be made if a family status change has occurred. If employees do not submit paperwork, all elections remain as is, excepting Flexible Spending Accounts.
