Power restored after morning outage

At approximately 8:20 a.m. on Friday, July 24, the Athens Campus experienced a full power outage after a part in one of the transformers failed. The part was replaced and power was fully restored by 10:55 a.m.
Campus remains open.
Facilities personnel are working as quickly as possible to restore individual systems to campus buildings. Employees experiencing significant power related building problems should contact the facilities service desk at 740-593-2911 or fmservicedesk@ohio.edu.
