International Research Symposium to be held Friday Feb 26, 2009
The International Student Union is sponsoring a research symposium from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in Baker University Center room 240/242. International students, as well as American students conducting research on international issues, will exhibit their research through poster presentations.
Research topics include "Venezuela: A nation of Contrasts," "21st Century Learning Space," and "Trans-Border Water Issues through Prism of Regional Cooperation in Central Asia." Student researchers will be on hand to answer questions and discuss their projects. The event is free and open to the public.
"There will be lots of good and interesting information that really can broaden up their knowledge," said Fitria Kurniasih, the ISU's programming director. "It can also help the participants to build their confidence to present and talk to people, and of course, share their research with lots of people."
