Budget summits scheduled Topics to include revenue, expense projections Feb 10, 2009 By Katie Quaranta
University officials will hold three summits next week that center on facilitating discussion and educating the university community about the university budget.
The summits will take place on:
- Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Baker University Center 240 -- Faculty Senate representatives to the Budget Planning Council will be in attendance.
- Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 7 to 8 p.m. in Margaret M. Walter Hall 235 -- Undergraduate and graduate student representatives to the BPC will be in attendance.
- Thursday, Feb. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Baker University Center 240 -- Classified and Administrative Senate representatives to the BPC will be in attendance.
Topics of discussion will include current revenue projections for fiscal year 2010 from state support, tuition and fees, grant funding, donor support and investment income. The summits will also cover expense projections for areas including salaries and benefits, institutional aid for students, program support and utilities.
Each summit will begin will a presentation by Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration Bill Decatur and conclude with a question and answer session.
All members of the university community are invited to attend any of the sessions. For those on regional campuses or otherwise unable to attend in person, the Feb 19 session will be streamed live and archived at http://breeze.cns.ohiou.edu/adminsenate/
