OIT offering Blackboard 7 workshops

To assist faculty with the transition from Blackboard 6.3 to Blackboard 7.3, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is offering several free seminars during the winter intersession and winter quarter.
Previously available only through a pilot, Blackboard 7.3 will be available to all faculty beginning winter quarter. It features podcasting, blogs and wikis directly within Blackboard courses as well as SafeAssign, a plagiarism detection tool.
Here's a look at upcoming workshops:
Transferring Course Content from Blackboard 6.3 to Blackboard 7.3:
- Monday, Dec. 15, 1 to 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m. to noon
- Thursday, Dec. 18, 1 to 3 p.m.
- Monday, Dec. 29, 10 a.m. to noon
- Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1 to 3 p.m.
- Thursday, Jan. 22, 9 to 11 a.m.
- Monday, Jan. 26, 1 to 3 p.m.
Introducing the New Features of Blackboard 7.3:
- Wednesday, Dec. 17, 10 a.m. to noon
- Tuesday, Jan. 20, 10 a.m. to noon
- Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1 to 3 p.m.
Visit http://seminars.admsrv.ohio.edu/seminars/ to sign up. Log in with your Oak ID and password, choose "Register Yourself" and scroll to the Academic Technologies section.
Blackboard 6.3 will continue to be available for use through spring quarter 2009.
