Minimum wage to increase for student workers Dec 4, 2008
Effective Jan. 1, the minimum wage in Ohio will increase to $7.30 per hour, from $7 per hour, for non-tipped employees. For employees receiving tips, the hourly wage will increase to $3.65, from $3.50.
The increase will be reflected in student paychecks issued on Jan. 16, 2009, for the pay period beginning Dec. 21, 2008, according to a University Human Resources and Payroll release.
