Eager to open a dialog, Executive Vice President and Provost Pamela Benoit has scheduled a forum for Athens campus staff on Aug. 14. All members of the university community are welcome to attend, but as future events are being planned for the regional campuses as well as faculty and students, Benoit hopes to focus on Athens staff at this event.
Benoit plans speak briefly about what she hopes to accomplish during fall quarter, reserving the majority of the forum for conversation.
“When it comes to Ohio University, I’m as much a freshman as the students who have been participating in Bobcat Student Orientation. I need to listen and learn,” Benoit said. “I want to hear from the Athens staff what they value about Ohio University, what accomplishments they are most proud of, and what concerns they have.”
Benoit joined Ohio University on July 1. Before that, she was vice provost for advanced studies and dean of the Graduate School at the University of Missouri.
The forum will take place Friday, Aug. 14, at 3 p.m. in Bentley Hall, Room 129.
