Retirement separation policy updated

A revised version of Ohio University Policy 41.090, which establishes retirement eligibility criteria for university employees and differentiates these criteria from those of other state retirement systems, was approved on March 6.
The policy now includes retirement guidelines for law enforcement and public safety officers who are part of the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System.
The policy applies to all separations from the university for which the last day of work is on or after July 1, 2007.
