Changes to Ohio University policy 44.109, which provides safety guidelines for all university activities, were approved on March 30.
The revised policy integrates guidelines that had previously been addressed by the following policies: 44.110 - Reporting hazardous conditions; 44.111 - Investigation of non-radiation injury accidents; 44.115 - Environmental health and safety code; and 44.118 - Occupational safety and health. These policies have been eliminated.
According to Director of Environmental Health and Safety Joe Adams, all of those policies covered similar subject matter and combining them will help to eliminate redundancies.
