Memo recaps resources offered by Institutional Equity Apr 15, 2009
As part of a regular outreach effort, the Office for Institutional Equity would like to remind the campus community that it has a variety of available resources to address questions or concerns about discrimination or harassment. Ohio University prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, or military veteran status in its employment practices or in the provision of educational programs and services.
In a recent memo to faculty, staff and students, President Roderick J. McDavis announced that the Office for Institutional Equity would be providing more information and training to the university community about the university's requirements and responsibilities under Title IX and other civil rights law. He also noted that Laura Myers, who became interim director of the Office for Institutional Equity in August 2008, now has the additional title of Title IX coordinator.
