Miami Student injured Oct. 28, 2007
From staff reports At 5:45 a.m. Sunday, the Ohio University Police Department responded to a report of an injured male on the South Green of the Athens campus. Ilya Gikhman, 18, of Mason, Ohio, had apparently fallen from an elevated sidewalk and appeared to have sustained a head injury. He is a freshman at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, according to Miami's Web site. Gikhman was not a registered guest on Ohio University's campus. He was transported to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, which transferred him to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. OUPD is investigating the accident. The young man was listed in serious condition as of 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
