Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award, recognizes advisers of Ohio University registered student organizations for their contributions and commitment to the organizations they advise

Outstanding Student Organization Programming Award, recognizes student organizations for conceiving, planning and implementing outstanding programs on the Ohio University campus

Fall 2007

  • National Student Speech-Language and Hearing Association, for its second annual statewide NSSLHA Conference held at Ohio University. The chapter was selected from 13 programs in the state to host the event

Winter 2008

  • Phi Gamma Nu, which organized Skate for the Schools and ice-skating social that raised more than $500 in two hours for Athens schools' art and music programs

Spring 2008

  • Empowering Women of Ohio, for Empowered Woman's Week, which showcased successes, talents and strengths of women across campus through various events

    • Callie Broomfield, Bay Village, Ohio, for demonstrating leadership as captain of the women's soccer team


    • Christopher Diehl, Warren, Ohio, as a leader on Student Senate national residence hall honorary


    • Patrick Heery, Cincinnati, Ohio, a Student Senate leader with high academic achievement and volunteer at First Presbyterian Church


    • Jonathan Justice, Strongsville, Ohio, president of the German Club and a Delta Phi Alpha German honor society member


    • Amy Saling, Nashport, Ohio, a dedicated research assistant for study and prevention of sexual assault


    • Elizabeth Vaccaro, Mansfield, Ohio, for her commitment to the Ohio University Council and commitment as president of University Programming Council


    • Tim Vonville, Gahanna, Ohio, for dedication as Student Senate president


    • William Wemer, Shaker Heights, Ohio, an active LBGT affairs commissioner on Student Senate

    • Lindsay M. Orchowski (doctoral), Pittsburgh, Pa., for excelling in academic research and publications


    The Rudy Leadership Award recognizes exceptional leadership contributions and ability and potential of a currently enrolled undergraduate student who plans to enroll the following year

    • Rachael Novick, who participated in the Adopt-A-Highway program, organized a Relay for Life team and is active on the Student Alumni Board
