Rental of motor pool vehicles policy updated

A revised version of Ohio University policy 47.002, which provides guidelines for the rental of vehicles from Transportation Services' motor pool, was approved March 7.
Kim Wortman, director of campus services, said prominent additions to the policy include how to reserve a vehicle online and current Federal Department of Transportation regulations stipulating the required frequency of breaks and the maximum driving time per day for bus drivers.
Other changes include the removal of specific rental rates -- which now can be found on the Transportation and Parking Web site -- and revisions to bring all references to policies, departments and resources up-to-date.
