Committee chair Ned Dewire said that is in line with a recent trend of board chairs serving back-to-back years and also would provide continuity in board leadership during the initial year of Vision OHIO's implementation. During their meeting Wednesday, committee members also commented on DeLawder's leadership skills and effectiveness as a board spokesman.

The committee also mapped out a proposed agenda for a full-day board retreat in August and developed a recommendation for legal and ethics training for board members.

The panel will put forth its recommendations to the full board during the June 27 board meeting on the Athens campus. Board members will have the opportunity to make any further recommendations before voting.
