Forum on race continues Friday Jan 24, 2008
"The Issue of Colorblindness," the second in a three-part series of forums about race, will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Multicultural Center's multipurpose room, Baker University Center 219.
"Race Matters: Critical Race Forum Series" is jointly sponsored by the departments of political science and African American studies.
The presenters for Friday's forum include Kathleen Sullivan, assistant professor of political science; C. Michael Gray, associate professor of African American studies and associate director of the African Studies program; and Jaylynne Hutchinson, associate professor of educational studies. The panel also includes interim Director of African American Studies Najee Muhammad and Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science Vincent Jungkunz.
The third forum, "The Issue of White Privilege," is planned for noon Feb. 29 at the Multicultural Center. A daylong symposium on the topic is planned for April.
Audience members are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch.
