Key campaign reps on campus today Feb 28, 2008
Michelle Obama and Chelsea Clinton are visiting the Athens campus today.
Clinton, daughter of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, will speak and take questions from noon to 1 p.m. today on the Athens campus (please take note of the time change). The event is in the first-floor billiards area.
Later in the day, Michelle Obama, wife of Clinton rival Barack Obama, will speak at 4 p.m. at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Doors open at 3:15 p.m. No tickets will be issued, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
To accommodate Secret Service needs related to the Michelle Obama visit, Galbreath Chapel will be closed to the public most of the day, as will the alley between Galbreath and Memorial Auditorium. Other than the main entrance prior to and during the visit, Memorial Auditorium also will be closed to the public during the day.
This story was updated at 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, to list the revised time for Clinton's visit.
