The Ohio University Board of Trustees has opened a search for the position of secretary to the board, President Roderick J. McDavis has announced. Applicants must be current university employees.
The part-time permanent position provides the support necessary to enable members of the board to fulfill their governance and fiduciary responsibilities, performs specific duties assigned by the board and facilitates communication between the university's senior leadership team and the trustees.
McDavis said the board seeks a well-qualified and diverse applicant pool for this important senior position. Minimum requirements include a master's degree and five years of employment at Ohio University. A confidential review of materials by the search committee, which is chaired by Vice President for Student Affairs Kent Smith, will begin immediately.
