Revisions have been made to Ohio University policy 19.054, which outlines the process for recording, identifying and accounting for all university-owned movable equipment items having a minimum cost of $2,500 each and a life expectancy of more than one year.
The revised policy changes the date when the Equipment Inventory Office will furnish each department with a detailed listing of assigned equipment from soon after June 30 to as soon as possible after March 31. Other changes include clarification regarding who is responsible for equipment accountability and how to organize equipment inventory reports.

Also approved recently is a revised version of Ohio University policy 52.100, which establishes internal procedures for the development of the six-year Capital Improvements Plan for the Athens and regional campuses.
According to University Planner Pam Callahan, the revisions bring the policy, which had not been updated since 1973, into compliance with current practices and state mandates. It also incorporates regional campuses. Because of this change, university policy 52.101, which had served as the regional campus counterpart to policy 52.100, was eliminated.
