AQIP open forum is Wednesday Apr 22, 2008
The entire campus community is invited to join an open forum on Wednesday from 4 until 5 p.m., led by the visitation team from North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as part of their evaluation related to the AQIP accreditation process. The two visiting team members, hailing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Mississippi Western State University, are on the campus to determine if the university is following the AQIP quality improvement philosophy.
"The visitation team is seeking a wide range of input from the entire campus community to learn if we are embracing quality improvement here at Ohio University, how we are doing that and if we could do it better," Marty Tuck, provost for academic affairs, said. "The forum is a prime opportunity for voices from across campus to be heard."
The forum will be held in Walter Hall 135 and a reception will follow. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate. Input from the forum will be included in the visitation team's report to North Central on whether the university has embraced the AQIP philosophy and whether the AQIP track is suitable for the institution.
