The haunting voice behind the song "1234" heard in Apple commercials is coming to Ohio University. The Performing Arts Series welcomes FEIST to Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
A singer-songwriter from Canada, Leslie Feist has received numerous honors. She was nominated for four Grammy awards, won the Shortlist Music Prize for her album, "The Reminder," and most recently received five Juno awards (Canada's equivalent of the Grammy). She also is a member of the indie rock group Broken Social Scene.
FEIST will be joined by fellow Canadian musician Hayden, who recently released his fifth full-length record titled "In Field & Town." Following a successful Canadian tour in January, Hayden's album will be released in the U.S. April 29.
Tickets for the performance may be purchased at the auditorium's ticket office, open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and one hour before the performance. For tickets or information, call 740-593-1780 or visit www.ohio.edu/performingarts.
