Wind ensemble and symphonic band concert Oct. 12
ATHENS, Ohio (Oct. 10, 2006) -- The Ohio University College of Fine Arts and School of Music present the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band in concert at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.
The Wind Ensemble, conducted by John Climer, will perform works by Joan Tower, William Bolcom and Percy Grainger. The Symphonic Band, under the baton of Richard Suk, will perform the music of Eric Whitacre, Clifton Williams and a tribute to Sir Malcolm Arnold, one of England's most notable contemporary composers, who passed away on Sept. 23.
