ATHENS, Ohio (Oct. 10, 2006) -- The Ohio University School of Music will hold a Keyboard Benefit Concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, in the Recital Hall in Glidden Hall. The concert will feature School of Music faculty members and all proceeds will benefit the School of Music scholarship fund designated for keyboard students.
The program will include works by Witold Lutosklawski, Antonio Soler, Frederic Chopin, Girolam Frescobaldi, Francois Couperin, Johann Sebastian Bach, George Crumb and Franz Liszt.
Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance at the Fine Arts Ticket Office in Kantner Hall. General admission tickets are $15, senior citizens are $10 and student tickets are $5.
Faculty members participating in the concert are William Averill, Paul T. Barte, Gail Berenson, Sylvia Reynolds Eckes, Christopher Fisher, André Gribou, Holly Oberle and Richard Syracuse.
