ATHENS, Ohio (Nov. 6, 2006) -- The Ohio University Innovation Center will host a grant preparation workshop at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8. The Innovation Center is located at 340 West State St. in Athens.
All Ohio University faculty, staff, students and Athens community members interested in learning how to apply for Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer grant funding are welcome.
The five-hour workshop will include six information sessions. The sessions will teach attendees how to use SBIR and STTR as a business development tool, how to develop a quality SBIR/STTR proposal and how to avoid some of the common roadblocks encountered when developing a small business proposal.
"These workshops are always well attended," said Linda Clark, director of the Innovation Center. "The information is current and can be applied immediately to the grant application process."
Dave Nestic, founder and CEO of NezTech Corporation, will serve as the workshop presenter. Lunch will be provided for all participants; however, seating is limited. For more information, visit www.innovationcenter.ohiou.edu.
