Professors, researchers granted leaves for research

The Ohio University Board of Trustees last week approved university faculty fellowships for 39 professors and researchers. The move allows instructors leaves of absence to conduct research in a wide variety of areas during fall, winter and spring quarters of the 2007-08 school year. 

Professors will conduct studies on widely varied topics, including an examination of theories of abstract algebra, a study of President Ronald Reagan's private diaries and research into women's role in rock 'n' roll as a source of feminist politics.
