Trying to find the perfect major that highlights your interests and skills? Ohio University will hold its fourth annual Majors Fair Wednesday, Sept 21, in Nelson Commons from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The fair will host more than 50 academic areas from all colleges on campus. In addition to these departments, many non-academic units, such as the Academic Advancement Center, ROTC and Ohio University Libraries, will be available with information.
With nearly one-third of Ohio University's freshmen entering each fall as undecided, there is definitely a need for an event like the majors fair. While some students are unsure of the area they hope to pursue, others are challenged by the specific major to declare. Students hoping to apply to colleges and/or majors with competitive admissions will have the opportunity to discuss requirements with administrators. Many upperclassmen also find the fair to be helpful. Some students are only a few classes short of a double major or minor and find they can work in the courses needed to complete them.
