ZANESVILLE, Ohio (Sept. 20, 2005) -- Ohio University-Zanesville will offer the master’s degree in Rural Principal Preparation, beginning in June 2006. An information session will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, September 22 on the Ohio University-Zanesville campus. The meeting will take place in Campus Center, Room 432.
The Rural Principal Preparation program brings together prospective administrators who undertake course work and internships as a group, completing the program in two years. The cohorts form supportive networks that enable each participant to give and receive feedback about his or her development as a leader.
To meet the needs of working professionals, the program uses formats through the academic year that emphasize the practical relevance of theory and research. Summer courses are offered in a more traditional format.
