ZANESVILLE, Ohio (Oct. 14, 2005) -- Through one-to-one relationships between preschool children and Ohio University-Zanesville students, Jumpstart inspires children to learn, adults to teach, families to get involved and communities to progress.
Students, professionals, local business leaders, community organizations and you can help Jumpstart reach children when it matters most - during the preschool years. Through programs like National Make a Difference Day on Oct. 22, World Reading Day, family events and volunteer reading groups, Jumpstart Ohio University-Zanesville invites you to get involved and help Jumpstart emphasize the importance of early education and interacting with the youth in our community.
By attending or volunteering the Family Fall Fest at Careytown on Pershing Road in Zanesville, you will support the children of Careytown Child Care Center, the Jumpstart team and the community. Join them for a day of fun, on Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for carnival games, food, a petting farm, Sparky the fire dog, door prizes, finger painting, face painting and more. Joy FM 92.7 will be broadcasting live from the event as well.
