ATHENS, Ohio (Oct. 7, 2005) -- A pair of open houses will be held Thursday, Oct. 13, to allow members of the Ohio University and Athens community to become familiar with several alternative ideas that are being considered for the Campus Master Plan and to solicit comments about the plan.
The open houses will be from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Walter Hall Rotunda on campus and from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Athens Community Center, 701 E. State St.
Representatives from the Office of University Planning Implementation and the consulting firm NBBJ of Columbus, Ohio, will be present and available for questions and discussion. NBBJ is the planning and architectural firm that the university has hired as consultants for this planning effort.
The campus master planning effort is comprehensive in nature. The component work plans included are comprised of physical campus and facilities planning, space utilization and management study, student housing needs assessment, and utility infrastructure and support services planning.
