ZANESVILLE, Ohio (Nov. 14, 2005) --The Ohio University-Zanesville Campus Library is offering new technology to make student research easier.
Students who need help can now use Instant Messaging technology to chat with a librarian. To instant message the reference staff, use zanelibref- on AOL and MSN Messenger or zanelibref@yahoo.com on Yahoo Messenger. This service is available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
Students can also find news about the library on the library blog, "News @ your library," accessible through the Zanesville Campus Library web page. The blog offers book recommendations, posts service-related notifications and announces library events and activities.
Along with internet and technology enhancements, the Zanesville Campus Library provides group project resources in "@ your library." This includes computer stations, two group study areas, multimedia labs and a Curriculum Materials Center. Additionally, there are now state-of-the-art digital resources such as digitized videos.
The Zanesville Campus library's newest databases are Naxos Music Library and the Learning Express Library. The Naxos Music Library is a collection of online music, including classical, jazz, world, folk and Chinese music. The Learning Express Library is an interactive, online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series.
