ATHENS, Ohio (Nov. 14, 2005) -- Classified Senate honored Nell Ann Kittle by naming her Ohio University's Classified Employee of the Month for October 2005. Kittle is an administrative coordinator in the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and has been with Ohio University for 23 years.
A co-worker nominated Kittle for the award based on Kittle's constant dedication to the school's faculty, students, and staff. "Nell Ann is an inspiring leader and is always willing to go the extra mile to help her co-workers in whatever way she can," said the nomination.
Kittle says the teamwork and respect demonstrated throughout her department makes her job at Ohio University enjoyable. "Our office acts as a family unit," she says.
The Ohio University Classified Employee of the Month is awarded based on nominations submitted by members of the university community. Nominees can be any classified employee who is setting standards for excellence and innovation by promoting unity, community, continuity and visibility. Award winners show outstanding individual achievement, contribution, innovation and performance of their jobs.
