ATHENS, Ohio (March 6, 2006) -- Kathy White was honored at the Classified Senate's monthly meeting as Ohio University's Classified Employee of the Month for February 2006. White is an administrative associate in the Honors Tutorial College (HTC) and has been with Ohio University for five years.
White was nominated for the award by her supervisor, Ann Fidler. Fidler states in her nomination that White was responsible for revamping HTC's admission and application information process. Because of White's efforts, the college now has a logical, streamlined system which coordinates hundreds of applicants and thousands of pieces of paper.
When asked what she most enjoys as an Ohio University employee, White says her involvement with the students and helping them to succeed. She said, "Our college works together well as a unit and I am proud to be a part of such a great work team," adding her dream job is the position she holds now.
This monthly award is made based on nominations submitted by members of the university community for any classified employee who is setting standards for excellence and innovation by promoting unity, community, continuity and visibility.
