ATHENS, Ohio (June 1, 2006) -- Ohio University Eastern will offer interested students two opportunities to learn about the bachelor degree completion programs available for area transfer students during two Transfer Nights to be held in June and July.
Area students who hold an associate's degree or who have earned college credit and who have not yet begun the application process at Ohio University Eastern may attend Transfer Night on either Tuesday, June 20 or Wednesday, July 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Shannon Hall.
"As the area's only public university, our commitment to assisting area college students in furthering their education is of utmost importance to those at the Eastern Campus," says Kristen Burrier, recruitment coordinator and academic advisor for transfer students. "Our bachelor degree completion opportunities range from specific majors to areas of specialized study. Technical graduates are encouraged to consider our Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies program, which accepts an applied associate degree as its first two years."
Topics covered during Transfer Night include understanding the transfer admissions process, discovering financial aid and scholarship opportunities for transfer students, transferring credit and bachelor degree completion requirements. Family and friends are encouraged to attend this event.
Students wishing to have an unofficial transcript evaluation should send a copy of their transcript from each college or university attended to Kristen Burrier at Ohio University Eastern, 45425 National Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950. Please allow time for transcript review and send copies at least one week in advance of the event.
