ATHENS, Ohio (Dec. 30, 2005) -- Ohio University will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, in observance of the national New Years Day holiday. New Years Day is Sunday, Jan. 1, but will be observed by the university on Monday, Jan. 2. The university will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3, operating under normally scheduled hours -- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
University residence halls open for winter quarter on Sunday, Jan. 1, at noon and the Housing Office will be open offering limited services from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students continue to return to the residence halls Monday, Jan. 2, starting at 9 a.m. and the Registrar, Bursar and Housing offices will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. offering limited services. Classes begin for the Athens and regional campuses Tuesday, Jan. 3.
